Day 1: Luang Prabang Arrival

Step down to the Luang Prabang airport, tourists will be transferred directly to the hotel to check in. After that, feel free to have your own adventure around the city

Evening

In the evening, you will get the chance to experience Lao culture at the welcome meal with traditional dance & folk songs at a local restaurant

Day 2: Luang Prabang - Nahm Dong Park

Morning

08:30: Moving to Nahm Dong Park in Ban Xiengmouk, which is 10km away from the city center.

We will begin the day with the Zipline flying to take in the major forests and waterfalls after a brief greeting from the park management. The duration of this activity is one hour.

Tourists will cross various flying bridges, little streams, and clear-water ponds through the jungle route.

View Mount Phousi in the city's heart while enjoying a delectable picnic lunch.

Afternoon

The remainder of the day will be spent deciding whether to unwind in the camp's huts, go for a leisurely stroll through the park, or cool down in the natural pools.

Day 3: Culture Experience - Kuang Si Waterfall

Morning

We travel to the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center (TAEC) after breakfast to explore the area and gain a better understanding of Lao ethnic culture.

One of the two founders or directors of TAEC will lead a one-hour session on "Ethnic Diversity and Cultural Change in Laos" for visitors. The seminars provide viewers with a fascinating look into the customs of ethnic communities as well as some rare, off-limits objects from TAEC's collection.

The ethnic Khmu lunch will be served at noon

Afternoon

Heading to the magnificent Kuang Si Waterfalls - the biggest waterfalls in the Luang Prabang area where you can be amazed by the spectacular view and enjoy the chilly, crystal clear water.

We will stop by the Bear Rescue Center. Tourists can visit animals that were saved from hunters and traffickers here.

Visit the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, where the expert will reveal the techniques for creating textiles of the highest standard. Visitors should also take the opportunity to see Luang Prabang's splendor at dusk.

Get back to the hotel and call it a day.

Day 4: Elephant Camp - Pak Ou Cave - Nam Ou Riverside

Morning

We will prepare to join the daily morning almsgiving - the most sacred tradition of Laos, which dates way back to the 14th century.

Visit a local morning market close to the Royal Palace to witness locals’ daily activities.

Move on to Ban Xang Hai - the traditional rice wine-making village, then experience the 30-minute elephant ride while viewing the Mekong River.

Driving to Ban Pak Ou, we take a cruise on the Mekong River to sightsee the Pak Ou Caves. The cave is renowned for housing hundreds of Buddha sculptures in different postures.

Following that, we'll continue our trip along the Nam Ou River to the wonderful Nam Ou Riverside Resort.

The remainder of the day is free for you to relax by the resort's lovely pool or go exploring at your own pace by taking a walk through the local communities.

Day 5: Nam Ou Riverside - Muang Soune (Homestay)

Morning

After the morning meal, we will make a short trip to Muang Soune, which is 25 kilometers from the town (10 kilometers from the resort).

12:00 - 12:30: Arrive at the village area and have an introduction to the family.

12:30 - 13:30: Lunchtime with the family

Afternoon

After taking a rest, you will visit the school, take in some of the village's activities, stop by various artisan communities, and get to know the weavers.

05:00 - 06:00: Shower at the homestay or take a refreshing bath in the river. After that, prepare supper with Kham, or have a refreshing Lao beer or other regional beverage.

Dinner with the family in the evening. You are welcome to join the host family in their favorite after-dinner pastime, which is playing cards.

Day 6: Muang Soune - Luang Prabang

Morning

05:00 - 06:00: If wanted, tourists can wake up at the crack of dawn to be amazed by the beautiful sunset over the Nam Xeuang River. Take part in preparing sticky rice for Monk’s daily morning almsgiving.

06:00 - 07:00: Almsgiving in the temple to compare to what you did in Luang Prabang a few days earlier. After that, have the morning meal with the local family.

08:00 - 10:00: Go fishing on the Ou River with the host family. Don’t forget to learn some techniques from them. We will also have the opportunity to experience local Bamboo weaving, silk weaving, or fishing nets.

11:00: Come back to the village to take a transfer back to Luang Prabang.

Before heading to the airport to board the departure aircraft, we could have time to have a leisurely walk through the town.
