Day 1 Welcome to Thailand - Bangkok Arrival

Your adventure begins in the vibrant city of Bangkok. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a driver holding a sign with your name, ready to transfer you to your hotel. Once checked in, enjoy a leisurely day to relax and get acclimated.

Day 2 Bangkok Floating Market and Temple Tour

Start your day with a hearty breakfast and meet your English-speaking guide in the hotel lobby at 07:30 AM. The first stop is the Railway Track Market (Rom Hoop Market), known for its location directly on the railway tracks. Next, head to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. A 30-45 minute long-tail boat ride will take you through the canals to the market, where you can enjoy local Thai products and foods. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit two of Bangkok’s iconic temples: Wat Traimit, which houses the world’s largest solid gold Buddha, and Wat Pho, home to the Reclining Buddha and Thailand’s first university. Continue to Wat Benjamabophit, the Marble Temple, showcasing a fusion of Thai and European architecture.

Day 3 Travel from Bangkok to Chiang Mai

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before a transfer to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, a driver will escort you to your hotel, where you can check in and rest.

Day 4 Chiang Mai - Jungle Trekking and Bamboo Rafting

After breakfast, transfer to Mae Wang to begin your adventure at the Karen Eco Lodge. The morning features a jungle trek to the Karen Village, where you will immerse yourself in the lush surroundings and local culture. After a delightful lunch, embark on a bamboo rafting tour along the Mae Win River, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the area. Return to the lodge for free time to relax.

Day 5 Elephant Care and Mahout Training

Start the day with a breakfast at the lodge before engaging in an Elephant Caring & Mahout Training experience. Get up close and personal with Thailand’s majestic elephants, learning about their care and feeding, and even having the chance to bathe them. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon at your leisure. In the evening, join a Thai cooking lesson where you’ll learn to prepare authentic dishes using local ingredients.

Day 6 Visit Tea Plantations and Journey to Chiang Rai

After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your scenic drive to Chiang Rai. Stop at the Chiufong Tea Farm to explore the tea production process, followed by a visit to Doi Maesalong, where you can enjoy the lush surroundings of the Rai Cha 101 Tea Plantation. Immerse yourself in local culture at the Akha Mudhouse in Maesalong Village, where you can engage in traditional activities such as tricycle riding and learning local customs.

Day 7 Authentic Encounters in Doi Mae Salong

After breakfast, enjoy a welcome drink of local tea served in a traditional bamboo cup. Learn a few words of the Akha dialect before embarking on a leisurely walk through the community trail, exploring the aromatic herbs, crops, and local fruits. Enjoy a Khantoke lunch featuring traditional Akha dishes, followed by a unique experience making a local bracelet from natural materials. Bid farewell to the Hloyo community before heading to Chiang Rai to visit the stunning Blue Temple, also known as Wat Rong Sue Ten. End the day with a visit to the Chiang Rai night market.

Day 8 Explore the Golden Triangle

After breakfast, begin your exploration with a visit to the White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), renowned for its intricate and symbolic design. Continue to the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet. Visit the House of Opium to learn about the region’s opium trade and enjoy panoramic views of the Mekong River. In the afternoon, visit the long-neck Karen tribe village, learning about their unique customs and way of life.
