Today you will be collected by your private guide and transferred in a private vehicle to catch a flight to Siem Reap, the gateway to the Angkor temple complex. After check-in, you’ll explore the mysterious Royal city of Angkor Thom. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the intricately carved Khmer stone structures at Angkor Wat, one of the world’s most impressive ruins. You’ll end the day by viewing the beautiful sunset from the hilltop temple of Phnom Bakheng.

After breakfast, you’ll continue our exploration of Angkor by visiting Prasat Kravan, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. In the afternoon you’ll see Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei, Ta Keo, Chaosay Tevoda and Thomanon. These temples are on the same route as Ta Prohm and the picturesque Ta Prohm. These remarkable structures had nearly completely disappeared into the jungle and they are still overgrown, making for a haunting and exotic scene.

Today you will fly to Vientiane, also called the city of the moon.
The afternoon will be spent taking a sightseeing tour of the city’s major historic sites including the religious museums of Wat Sisaket, Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home temple of the Emerald Buddha statue and Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos.

Your flight today will be to Luang Prabang, which are the ancient first capital of Lane Xang kingdom and the center of religious life in Laos. Today it is a World Heritage City. You’ll take a sightseeing tour of the sacred city of temples of which fifty remain in the town and its surrounding areas. You’ll see the National Museum, the former Royal Palace, Wat Visoun, Wat Aham and Wat Xiengthong.

Today you’ll spend a few hours traveling down the Mekong River on a long-tailed boat. You will visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves inside the limestone cliff opposite the mouth of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. Then you’ll visit the village of Ban Xanghai, best known for its production of the traditional delicious rice of this country. Your lunch will be eaten at a local restaurant on the bank of the Mekong River. Upon your return to Luang Prabang, you’ll visit Ban Xangkhong, a village known for its paper making and for its naturally dyed silk weavings.

Your excursion today will be about 30 kilometers by road, to visit the Kuangsi Waterfall. En route, you’ll stop to visit Ban Na Oune, a small H’mong village and also Ban Tha Pane, a small village inhabited by the Khmu people. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the waterfall.
