Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap

Today, your journey brings you to Siem Reap, an enchanting city nestled in Cambodia's northwest. Upon your arrival at the airport, our team will be ready to greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your Siem Reap hotel for check-in. After settling into your accommodation, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, allowing you to explore the city and its environs at your own pace. You might opt to visit the renowned Angkor Wat temple complex, meander through the vibrant night market, or simply unwind while savoring the local cuisine. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Siem Reap – Angkor Complex – Full-Day Exploration

Following a satisfying breakfast at your hotel, our journey will lead us to Angkor Thom, a splendid architectural marvel crafted by King Jayavarman VII. This majestic fortress was erected in the heart of his empire in response to the Chams' occupation of Angkor from 1177 to 1181.
Our initial destination within Angkor Thom is the Bayon Temple, situated precisely at its center. This temple stands as an extraordinary testament to the creative genius and grandiosity of Cambodia's revered king. We will also pause for a photo opportunity at the Terrace of the Leper King, a distinctive stone terrace gracing the Royal Square of Angkor Thom.
Next on our itinerary is the Terrace of Elephants, originally designed as an observation platform for the king to oversee parades, performances, and traditional sports. At the southern end of this terrace, we'll encounter the Baphuon, a stunning temple dating back to the reign of Uditayavarman I in the 11th century.
Our exploration continues with a visit to the captivating Ta Prohm temple, which has nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, creating an exotic and haunting scene. Here, massive tree roots intermingle with the temple's colossal stone blocks, forming a mesmerizing embrace that leaves an indelible impression.
Our ultimate destination is the crowning jewel, Angkor Wat, believed to be the world's largest religious edifice. This temple is an exquisite synthesis of symbolism and symmetry, a source of pride and resilience for all Khmers.
Following a full day of exploration, we'll return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Siem Reap – Preah Khan & Banteay Srei

After breakfast, our journey will commence with a visit to Preah Khan Temple, situated northeast of Angkor Thom and just west of the Jayatataka baray, with which it shares historical associations. This temple complex was once the hub of a vast organization, boasting nearly 100,000 officials and servants.
Our next stop is Neak Poan, aptly named "the entwined snakes," a petite temple located on an island in the heart of the now-dry Jayatataka baray, a colossal water reservoir spanning 3,500 meters in length and 900 meters in width. Our exploration will then lead us to Tasom, offering splendid photo opportunities, particularly at the rear entrance adorned with captivating tree roots. Additionally, we'll visit the Akira Landmine Museum to gain deeper insights into Cambodia's modern history. By day's end, you will have acquired a richer understanding of Cambodia's ancient and recent past.
We'll venture into the rural outskirts, approximately 35 kilometers from the Angkor area, to discover the smallest yet magnificent Banteay Srei. Built in the 10th century and dedicated to Shiva, this temple serves as the birthplace of Khmer classical architectural style. Its pink sandstone structure boasts an array of remarkable sculptures, lintels, pediments, and friezes. Local legend suggests that the temple's intricate carvings were so delicate that they must have been crafted by the hands of women rather than men. En route back, we'll pause at Pradark Village, offering you a glimpse into the daily lives of local residents as they produce palm sugar and handicrafts for sale to tourists.
Our journey continues to the unmissable Banteay Samre, where rose-colored sandstone walls are adorned with intricate carvings and bas-reliefs, showcasing some of Angkor's finest artistry.
As the late afternoon approaches, we'll return to the main Angkor Park and proceed to Pre Rup. Our day concludes with a memorable sunset experience over the picturesque rice fields, observed from the regal crematorium of Pre Rup—a classic vista of the Cambodian countryside.
Overnight in Siem Reap

Afternoon: Upon your arrival in Phnom Penh, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your own pace. Phnom Penh, positioned at the confluence of three rivers—the majestic Mekong, the Bassac, and the grand Tonle Sap—was once hailed as the 'Gem' of Indochina. The city still retains its alluring charm, showcasing a blend of provincial tranquility, French colonial mansions, tree-lined boulevards, and monumental Angkorian architecture. It's a city that beckons exploration, and you'll have ample opportunities to discover its unique character and vibrant atmosphere.

Day 7: Phnom Penh's Past & Present

After indulging in a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your day of exploration will commence with a visit to the Royal Palace complex, a remarkable architectural gem built in 1866 under the reign of King Norodom. This majestic palace showcases striking Khmer-style architecture and stands as the most prominent landmark in Phnom Penh. Situated adjacent to the Royal Palace is the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha temple. Here, you'll encounter a dazzling array of Buddha statues adorned with precious diamonds, emeralds, gold, and silver.

Continuing your journey, the next stop is the National Museum, a distinctive red building adorned with exquisite Khmer architectural elements, a structure that has graced Phnom Penh since 1917. Inside, you'll find an extensive collection of over 5,000 art pieces crafted from various materials, including sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood, and more.
Your tour proceeds with a visit to the Independence Monument, an iconic structure constructed in 1954 to commemorate Cambodia's liberation from French colonial rule.

Around noon, you'll explore Phsar Thmey, commonly referred to as the Central Market. This expansive market, built in 1937, features a distinctive dome-shaped building with four sprawling arms leading to extensive corridors teeming with an array of stalls. Here, you'll find an impressive variety of goods, from gold and silver to antique coins, currency exchange services, books, flowers, fabrics, footwear, souvenirs, delectable seafood, and much more.

Your next destination is Wat Phnom, also known as the Mountain Pagoda, a Buddhist temple nestled atop a hill that lends its name to Phnom Penh. According to local legend, the initial pagoda on this site was erected in 1372 to house four Buddha statues discovered by Lady Penh in the waters of the Mekong River. Wat Phnom serves as a popular gathering place for locals who come to seek good fortune, offer prayers, and enjoy breathtaking sunset views.

As the day transitions into late afternoon, you'll embark on a captivating sunset cruise along the Mekong River. This serene journey provides a unique perspective of the Royal Palace, which gracefully sprawls across the confluence of four river branches.
