Travel Guides

1. Best time to visit Phuket

Phuket is a tropical island destination so the best time to go is largely dependent on the weather. The best time to visit Phuket is between November and April when weather conditions are ideal for beach activities, such as swimming and boating. The six months between May and October are monsoon season, and although accommodation prices are much lower this time of year, the water conditions can be dangerous.

2. Top Things to do in Phuket

Lay on a Beach
Laying on a beach and doing absolutely nothing is one of the best things you can do in Phuket. With its extensive stretches of pristine white sand beaches, it ranks among the premier destinations in Southeast Asia for beach lovers.
Hike to the Big Buddha
The Big Buddha is one of the most well-known attractions in Phuket. It sits above Nakkerd Hill, less than 10 km from Kata. At 45 meters tall (148 ft), it’s the third-tallest statue in Thailand and can be seen as far away as the Old Town. The views from the Big Buddha are spectacular as well.
Explore the Old Town
Most people come to Phuket for its beaches so the Old Town is often overlooked. To us, it stands out as one of the island's most fascinating areas. It’s home to a wealth of Sino-Portuguese architecture and temples, it offers an authentic taste of Phuketian cuisine, unrivaled elsewhere.
Check Out a Night Market
Whether you're shopping or simply enjoying the vibrant ambiance with snacks and cold drinks, it's always a memorable experience. The lively Kata Night Market and the charming Lard Ploy Khong, also known as the "Indy" Market, nestled in the Old Town.
Go on a Food Tour
There’s no better way of getting to know a locality’s cuisine than by going on a food tour with a knowledgeable local. This holds particularly true in Phuket, where a unique and dwindling culinary tradition awaits discovery, offering tastes not easily found elsewhere.
Party on Bangla Road
Bangla Road in Patong is party central in Phuket. It’s loud and sleazy in parts so it isn’t for everyone, but if you’re looking to party it up in Phuket, then this is the place to do it.
Get a Massage
Getting a massage on a tropical island should be on everyone’s must-do list. Simply put, there’s nothing better to do on an island than to relax, and there’s no better way to relax on an island than by getting a massage.

Wat Chalong Chedi is built on three floors so feel free to climb all the way to the top floor terrace to get a nice bird view on the entire temple grounds.
