While you can trek solo, we highly recommend hiring a local guide for a safer and more enjoyable experience. Try Horse or Salmon Hot Pot
For culinary enthusiasts, indulging in thang co, or horse meat stew, stands as one of the top culinary experiences in Sapa. This traditional H'mong hot pot delicacy combines various meats such as beef, pork, buffalo, and goat, with the main star being horse meat. If horse meat feels a bit too adventurous for your palate, consider sampling a salmon hot pot instead. So prevalent is rainbow trout that salmon hot pot has earned a reputation as a local specialty in Sapa, especially cherished during the winter months.
